TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKINGS

To make a booking Please contact us to check availability of your choice of Holiday dates. We will hold your place for 7 days, until we receive your booking form and deposit. We will confirm your booking and receipt of £100 deposit by post or email.

Our Office Hours Monday-Saturday 8.30am-5.30pm Evenings 7.00pm-9.00pm Sunday 9.00am-1.00pm (If you are experiencing difficulties contacting us at these times, please do not hesitate to telephone outside these hours.)

Payment schedule A non-refundable deposit of £100 per person is payable with your booking. Balance of payment is due eight weeks prior to your arrival. Cheques preferred. Full payment will be required on booking if less than eight weeks prior to the course start date. If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

Overseas clients In order to keep the cost of changing currencies to a minimum, we ask you to pay in sterling. There may be currency restrictions and charges made by your bankers, therefore please check with them first. Clients must meet any banking and money transfer costs.

Course changes and Cancellations If you wish to change the dates of your confirmed booking, we will do our utmost to oblige. An administration fee of £15 will be charged to cover costs. Cancellations will be accepted up to 8 weeks (56 days) prior to the course start date and fees paid, less non-refundable deposit will be refunded. From 55–28 days 50% of holiday fee and 27-1 day 80% of holiday fee is payable. However, if we are able to re-book your place on a course, fees paid by you (less non-refundable deposit) will be refunded less an administration fee of £30. We will endeavour to provide all activities and services we have confirmed with clients but we reserve the right to cancel or alter holiday dates or alter or cancel without notice activities, excursions or other arrangements if an event of “force majeure” occurs. In the event of changes to the holiday dates, we will refund fees in full if alternative dates cannot be arranged.

Insurance We strongly recommend that you take out personal insurance, to cover you in case of cancellation, personal accident, loss of luggage and money cover. We shall not be liable for personal injury (unless such injury is caused by our negligence) or loss or damage however caused which occurs to any of your possessions and we shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Un programmed or emergency travel costs - if you have to be taken to the doctor or need a taxi to hospital are not included in the holiday fee. To cover this cost we must charge £1.20 per mile for vehicle journeys. This may be covered by your Insurance.

Force Majeure An event of “force majeure” means any event beyond our or our suppliers/sub-contractors’ reasonable control including without limitation act of God, weather conditions, explosion, flood, fire or accident, war or threat of war, civil disturbance, measures of any kind on the part of any governmental, parliamentary or local authority, industrial actions, and trade disputes whether involving our employees or third parties.

Legal matters Cape Adventure International Ltd is registered in Scotland No. 211478. This agreement shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of Scotland. Scottish Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any matters arising out of this agreement.
